This installation presents a tangible experience of tension and fluidity through a system of filtered lights, metal rods, plastic balloons and fishing strings. The balloons with metal rods inside and plain metal rods are tied up with fishing strings under filtered lights. The filtered lights bounce colours back and forth on balloons and metal rods’ boundaries fluidly, while the fishing string physically allows viewers to change the composition. The rods inside and outside confuse the spatial relationship with respect to the balloon, building up the tension until the plastic balloons are popped.
