(Ad)dressing Tree

Drawing practice - Reconstructive drawing
In this project, I digitally reconstructed a
tree found in the court of the old state house of Providence. Applying techniques like Lidar
3d scanning, Rhino modeling, and photogrammetry, this project aims to challenge
the focus of the disciplaine by changing the
subject matter to trees. Acknoledging and investigating trees as the
body of interest, the project negotiates with
the limitations of technologies (3d projection, scanning, and modeling softwares) to record
the tree’s data accurately. Through the process, I generated five informative diagrams that
represent the trees through a twisted
realism
of digital tools.
